All three of these logos are completely functional. They can be enlarged or reduced and reproduced in black and white without any impact on the message they convey. |Famous Logo Design|
Why are logos so important? I think that some of the most famous designs of our time company logo. Nike is a good example, but what really that symbol recognized internationally "swoosh" coupled with an improved graphic representation of the name of the company to Nike? A logo is a starting point for any form of communication in which the company is engaged. All marketing materials incorporating the identity of the company. All advertising features the image of the company. All promotional materials incorporate the company logo. You see the Nike swoosh in shirts, sweatshirts, caps, key chains and a host of other things promotional which has nothing to do with the business of Nike: shoes. Nike can now use the "swoosh" symbol without the name and people around the world know his Nike. Powerful which is why? Assuming that your company has a positive image; mere recognition of the symbol is sufficient to do the job.
If it's from Nike it's got to be good -- no need to read. Let's look at McDonalds® as an example. Everyone on the planet knows about the 'golden arches'...the golden letter M. But when this company first started out, the golden arches meant nothing until customers experienced eating their meals and then came to understand that the golden arches meant fast food, and good hamburgers. McDonalds® was a pioneer in fast food. Now the golden arches represent consistently good, fast food. If you are driving down the highway and are hungry, you see a lot of advertising for restaurants that you never heard of and then suddenly up pops the golden arches and you know exactly what you'll be getting if you go there for a meal. You have found something that you know and trust so it's likely that's where you'll go rather than one you are unfamiliar with.

Nike's swoosh was designed in 1972 by a graduate student named Carolyn Davidson who was paid $35. It has gone on to become the most powerful global marketing logo of the century. The swoosh has succeeded in communicating Nike's brand value and philosophy to countries and cultures around the world without saying a single word. It is an astonishing achievement in a message- and media-saturated environment to achieve such cut-through and consumer attachment.
The fact that Nike is a relatively new company, makes the potency of its logo even more striking. What sets the swoosh apart from the Others is its recent age, and the speed at which the logo has become a social and cultural signifier. It has succeeded in the difficult act of pre- senting a branding tool as a fashion statement, and a commercial endorsement that's still accepted as cool.
